The 77th Name-List of Variable Stars We present the next regular Name-List of variable stars containinginformation on 1152 variable stars recently designated in the system ofthe General Catalogue ofVariable Stars. New designations are alsointroduced for two ``old'' variables whose corrected coordinates bringthem to other constellations.
Eight New Small Amplitude Variables We report the discovery of small amplitude variability of six cool starsand discuss the nature of their light change. Two unsolved variablesdetected by Hipparcos are discussed, too. Six stars of the sample belongto the SRVs, whereas in case of the other two objects variability ismost likely caused by a spotted surface.
