UBV beta Database for Case-Hamburg Northern and Southern Luminous Stars
A database of photoelectric UBV beta photometry for stars listed in theCase-Hamburg northern and southern Milky Way luminous stars surveys hasbeen compiled from the original research literature. Consisting of over16,000 observations of some 7300 stars from over 500 sources, thisdatabase constitutes the most complete compilation of such photometryavailable for intrinsically luminous stars around the Galactic plane.Over 5000 stars listed in the Case-Hamburg surveys still lackfundamental photometric data.

The Henry Draper Extension Charts: A catalogue of accurate positions, proper motions, magnitudes and spectral types of 86933 stars
The Henry Draper Extension Charts (HDEC), published in the form offinding charts, provide spectral classification for some 87000 starsmostly between 10th and 11th magnitude. This data, being highlyvaluable, as yet was practically unusable for modern computer-basedastronomy. An earlier pilot project (Roeser et al. 1991) demonstrated apossibility to convert this into a star catalogue, using measurements ofcartesian coordinates of stars on the charts and positions of theAstrographic Catalogue (AC) for subsequent identification. We presenthere a final HDEC catalogue comprising accurate positions, propermotions, magnitudes and spectral classes for 86933 stars of the HenryDraper Extension Charts.

Optical spiral structure at L = 30 deg to 70 deg. I - New observations of distant early-type stars
Photoelectric UBV photometry has been obtained for 86 early-type starsfainter than photographic magnitude 11, within the range of galacticlongitude 30-70 deg, and classified as OB(+) or OB in the Luminous Starscatalogs of the Hamburg and Warner and Swasey Observatories. MKspectrograms of 68 of these stars have also been obtained. Colorexcesses and distances are derived for those stars in the sample withspectral types B1.5 V or earlier and/or luminosity class Iab andbrighter. Several of the stars observed are B and A supergiants withheliocentric distances in excess of 8 kpc.

Possible membership for the 51-day Cepheid GY Sagittae in a new OB association
New photometric and spectroscopic observations of the 51-day Cepheid GYSagittae and nearby OB stars are presented which confirm the PopulationI nature of the Cepheid and suggest its possible membership in ananonymous OB association. On the basis of agreement in spatial location, reddening, and evolutionary status, it appears that GY Sge is probably amember of a loose association consisting of at least 17 luminous starsat a common distance of 3.47 + or - 0.13 kpc. The equivalent B-starreddening of 1.29 + or - 0.06 derived for the Cepheid, together with theassumption of association membership, results in an intensity-meanabsolute magnitude of -6.34 + or -0.19.
