Intermediate-band photometric analysis of the eclipsing binary star CD Tauri
The F-type eclipsing binary CD Tauri was analyzed using Stromgrenintermediate-band uvby photometric data. The photometric results,combined with earlier spectroscopic results, allow calculation ofabsolute system dimensions. The two nearly identical componentsapparently lie slightly above the main sequence. The astrophysicalproperties of the components are similar to Procyon and to other F-typetwins such as Xi Sco, Psi Vel, and HS Hya. Although there is littlephotometric evidence of mass exchange or other interactions, the periodof this system is apparently subject to random fluctuations.
