Three Very Young HGMN Stars in the Orion OB1 Association
We report the detection of three mercury-manganese stars in the OrionOB1 association. HD 37886 and BD -0 deg984 are in the approximately 1.7million year old Orion OB1b. HD 37492 is in the approximately 4.6million year old Orion OB1c. Orion OB1b is now the youngest cluster withknown HgMn star members. This places an observational upper limit on thetimescale needed to produce the chemical peculiarities seen inmercury-manganese stars, which should help in the search for the causeor causes of the peculiar abundances in HgMn and other chemicallypeculiar upper main-sequence stars.

VBLUW photometry of the very young open cluster NGC 2264
This study presents and discusses VBLUW photometry of 112 stars with Vless than 13 in the area of the very young cluster NGC 2264.Temperatures, gravities, and reddening for stars hotter than 8400 K aredetermined. The reddening and the distance are found to be in goodagreement with the results of other references; to the existing list ofpresumable nonmembers, six stars are tentatively added as possiblenonmembers.

Catalog of BV magnitudes and spectral classes of 6000 stars
The present catalog, compiled at the Abastumani Observatory, contains BVmagnitudes and spectral classes of about 6000 stars up to V(lim) = 13.0min five circular areas of 18 sq deg located near the salactic-equatorplane. The catalog is intended for star-statistics studies ofstar-formation regions.

New flare stars in the region of the association MON I
During 55 hours of effective observation time using the 67/90/192-cmSchmidt telescope at the Asiago Astrophysical Observatory of theUniversity of Padua 29 flare stars have been found in the region of theassociation Mon I; of these, 17 are apparently members of the clusterNGC 2264. The frequency of flares in NGC 2264 is almost the same as inthe region of the Orion association at the initial period of itsobservations. According to preliminary estimates, the total number offlare stars in Mon I is of order 800-1000. Among the new flare stars, aslow flare was observed in one.

Positions of stars in NGC 2264
Positions in the region of NGC 2264, obtained using the Lick CarnegieAstrograph are presented. The methods used to obtain the positions arebriefly discussed.
