Optical variations of three carbon stars with silicate dust shells Light variations studied photographically in the red, visual, and bluebandpasses are presented for the carbon stars EU And, V778 Cyg, and BMGem. The periodic component was found only in the variations of V778Cyg, observations of which cover an interval of 15 years. For two otherstars the 2.5-yr interval of observations revealed only irregular lightchanges. Magnitudes and finding charts for comparison stars arepresented.
