The continuous spectrum of HM Sagittae
The continuum of HM Sge in the 3600-7000-A range has been examined onspectrograms of 160-A dispersion at H-gamma, taken in December 1976 withan objective prism on the 70/100/210-cm Maksutov telescope of theAbastumani Astrophysical Observatory. The energy distribution correctedfor interstellar absorption is anomalous and cannot be attributed to anysingle source. A large emission Balmer jump is present. A model for theHM Sge system is proposed, with a dense nebula (electron density atleast about 1 million per cu cm) surrounding a hot star. At a wavelengthof approximately 5000 A the intensity ratio of the stellar and nebularcontinua is 2.5:1.

Absolute Emission Line Intensities of Planetary Nebulae. II.
